She was not in the show until after the 3 Doctors it was Jo Grant in the 3 Doctors but Sarah Jane was in the 5 Doctors :) So she had meet 7 of the Doctor incarnations :)

I was thinking about it in terms of actors actually - Sarah Jane never met the First Doctor's proper actor as he was recast for the Five Doctors but I suppose you're right.

You're forgetting Five Doctors ;) Sarah Jane met the first five, and then Ten and Eleven in SJA, so she's met all but four Doctors :D

In The Three Doctors in 1973, she met the First, Second and Third Doctor. That explained it for her. Consequently, she's the companion who's met the widest span of Doctors, having met both the First and Eleventh :D
