This test is to determine whether there is adequate-number of white blood cells in the circulation, a white cell count is carried out. Blood cell counts are traditionally expressed as the number of cells per cubic milliliter of blood.

It was very diicult 2 count wbc in presence of๏ปฟ rbc so a diluting fluid called Turks solution(acetic acid1.5ml , gentionviolet 1ml)is used. it kills rbc & protect wbc & easy counting is possible.okkkkkkkkkkkk
