If you mean like the lines at the edge (like at the one at 2:45 in the left part of the screen) there's a type of wall paper that you can use in the "siding" section when you choose wall paper. It's called Horizontal Clapboard- Right edge and another called Left edge. Any wall paper that has "right edge" or "left edge" in its name is used like the one in the video.

I guess he used the (movingobjects on) cheat, so he is able to put the objects above each other
