Lankan people and Indian people are not of the same race as Russell Peters is claiming. Lankan people both Ceylonese and Sinhalese are Lemurian origin whilst Indians are not. The culture is only similar because Tamil language which is from Ceylon is also spoken by people in South India just like English is spoken all over the British empire due to colonialism, which does not mean that English is part of Asian culture. Otherwise a very funny and entertaining show.

He's talking about Sri Lankan Tamils ; Majority of Sri Lankans are Sinhalese and speak Sinhala. But I'd say Sri Lankan (Sinhalese) accent is 60% similar to indian's but they don't pronounce T , R and D that hard like indians do. etc. etc..

Mmmmm not really very few Americans would know about India's Diversity. To most of them Indians are a brown skinned race and would consider your "white skinned" Punjabi's as Hispanic people since they look a lot similar. As for Sri lanka they probably know it exists. I have yet to meet a "White Caucasian" from India so I wont comment on that since not all Caucasians are Germanic looking "White People".

Again ur wrong. I said from the video they are brown skinned like ordinary south indians. I also reiterate my statement that they probably represent a minuscule percentage among the otherwise predominantly darker people. And again i repeat, I didn't see or have ever heard of "very fair skinned" sri lankans. I have seen quite a few sri lankans in my uni, and most are dark, and few are brown like south indians.
