Joey, sorry for the late reply, been kinda busy. There are many knives out there and it would take more room than allowed here to answer but, off the top of my head a Kabar comes to mind. If you ever think about a custom knive you can contact my buddy in Canada at STKR knives, he makes a great knife and his prices are still low compared toother custom knife makers but I believe this guy will be a legend in the knife industry soon - TMO

First off, not a "Hee" man. Second yes it can be used just as effectively as a large knife with the exception of battoning large pieces of wood or chopping through brusk. You cancarve a spear with it, use the saw to cut smaller pieces wood and make noches for snares ect, ect. Really, your mind is your only limitation. I would want my multitool to have locking blades though. - TMO

I found them on ebay as well. It is marketed as a Rough Use Knife. Dimensions are 13 1/2 0verall length, 8 1/2 thick stainless steel blade with a black textured coating, ABS handle with a lanyard hole, Stiff lined nylon belt sheath. It seems to be the same thing, the only downer was I paid $24.99 for it. Prices sure have gone up, didn't take them long to read the reviews and jack the price.

Is there a knife 100% solid steel and there is no gaps but only small leather rap on the handle? i was making one but i moved and it not finished.

My main survival knife it the smith & wesson search and rescue. Not very expensive and It had a few problems when I first got it but now I've modified it its perfect for me. I wouldn't swap it even for a much more expensive knife. There are two videos on my chanel showing the improvements I made.

Thanks for that info!

I think I found the knife again. Go to Smokey Mountain Knife Works and look for the Smith & Wesson® Search & Rescue Spear with Black Zytel® Handle knife, I do believe it is the same one with a different name and a nice sheath now. Only $19 from them, sounds about right. Heck I might get another one just for the case.

Ya, Knife test dot com got taken down by some knife manufacture for testing thier knife on the internet and it did not perform as advertised so they are gone. They were really a good site. - TMO

Anywhere in central Florida that stocks machetes and or sheaths? Not looking for junk like walmart. Ontario, Tramontina and Condor/Imacassa come to mind. I brought my 12" Ontario (which is my main big knife in the hardwoods of Eastern Nebraska) and my 14" Tramontina which I'm looking forward to using on the materials it was designed for while in Florida but would like to get a souvenir to take back. Okay that's really just an excuse to get another machete.
