No. The reason why these horrible things happen in the world is because man disobeyed God in the beginning. Of course God lets bad things happen, but if you REALLY believe He is all good and all powerful, then he must have a very good reason for delaying the destruction of evil. But if God really isn't sovereign, then of course he's just an ugly ogre in the sky. None of it makes sense. These happenings are a reminder to us of how much we need Jesus Christ. If not, then everyone is wasting time.
