I'm a Xhosa speaking South African and I straight up laughed my ass off. Xhosa being the only SA language with the kind of clicks he mentions, besides for khoisan (which he wouldn't have heard in an elevator). He is talking gibberish. So... in short. He sounds like a guy impersonating the stereotypical black guy. Doesn't mean your comment is justified though. The only guy who mentioned/implied animals is you.

I am Xhosa and and we have all the click sounds he mentions, even though he is talking gibberish. As a comedian he has the right to make fun of whatever accent or subject he deems worthy. As long as it is without fear or favour. Your comment exposes you as prejudiced (and ignorant), not the comedian Russell Peters. Quoting you now: "His people's accents are worse.." What scale are we measuring accents on?

What about the khoisan , and have you forgotten that in tsonga,zulu and xhosa there are predominately clicking sounds? so what he was listening to was two men speaking one of those languages (soo while you were biting his head off did you ever stop to think about that?) . oh and by the way before you crap on me you should know that i'm a proud black zulu and xhosa speaking south african

The only way this being can be accepted is to fake his origins and try as hard as possible to talk and act as an anglo-saxon, but in the end of the day when he sees himself in the mirror he´s still an ugly, scumm-body indian. funny.

I am not not south african but my mother is xhosa, and i dont understand why you should find this offensive cause its funny, cause what he was hearing is exactly what i was hearing when my mum was with her own people, but then when i am in a room with a bunch of americans well thats a giggle,

If you found this racist and your a south African, than perhaps you should dive head first off a jagged mountain. This guy is the funniest comedian I've ever heard, and I'm of different ethnicity, I am a Spanish/Sudanese and this is brillant.

Perhaps a more intelligent and fair way of making this joke would be to actually say something substantial and actually meaningful that way We can laugh at ourselves as he makes the "joke" it just depicts ignorance and lack of ingenuity from the comic's part ... saying something unintelligible and only accentuating clicks is in fact mockery, it's no different to monkey chants we experience in european football stadiums when black people hold the ball.
