Sweet playing, nice sound!

I've heard that these pups can be a bit thin on top, but you're getting a really lovely tone out of 'em. i'm about to install them in a gretsch like michael kelly hollow body that i picked up recently. 250 K pots and .047 caps you've got there?

Right on!

I'm waiting on my surf 90's - I'm on a mission to create a giant hollowbody rockabilly baritone guitar (25.5 scale will have to do). I need even more twang and snap than usual to keep it clear. I hope it sounds as good as yours, but the fact that you are an expert player and are using $5 or $10K amps may be a factor. You're the one who made me buy that Squier Std Strat - it still boggles my mind that they sell a guitar with perfect 60's tones for $200.

Hi.....Love THAT SOUND.....I just installed two (BRIDGE PICKUPS NO REVERSE WIRING THE WAY GOD INTENDED) Neck and Bridge in my 79 Gibson ES 350T...I love the Gretsch Dynasonic but did not want to re-rout my Gibson..So after lots of Dwelling on over to put in two Magnatrons TV Jones or these Cheap GFS Surf 90's I let my ears do the deciding...clearly the GFS Surf 90's...You can hear them on our new release Video Clip on you tube..."THE MEMPHIS SUNS Hats too tight" ...Cheers Frank

All the berst ,, The electromatic Projets are great guitars to modify , GFS pickups are cool and high output. They can be strong,

I'm sure I've seen a video of you extolling the virtues of the Gretsch Electromatic Pro Jet with blacktop Filters....and I thought I'd made up my mind which Gretsch to go for...but I'm now thinking that some GFS Surf 90s in a G5120 might make me happier! I'd not seen or heard anything about the GFS pickups and was thinking I'd be factoring in the cost of TV Jones replacements...which made the Duojet better value...suppose I can't really lose either way.

DISCOUNT LINK j.mp\yGFy8v Customer Reviews: I bought this guitar used and on a whim because I love the Jazzmaster shape and also because I lacked a short scale guitar in my collection. Whether you like the particular profile of a guitar neck is quite subjective but I think the neck on this thing is wonderful- the profile is comfortable in my hand, the frets are even and well ... I have a 62 RI Jazzmaster and compared it to a blacktop upgraded with these pickups and it sounded better. The feel was almost as good as mine too.

This guitar sounds like an original Mosrite Ventures Model. A friend of mine had a new one back in the day and I'll never forget that bright cutting sound - very cool. I've been looking at GFS Retrotrons to make a new Paulownia Tele (already have one w/ 52 Tele pups, great tone) but I might go with these surfers instead. And you're playing my kind of music, too! I better subscribe.

Many Thanks! Just had my Fender Princeton Reverb amp at Volume - 3 - 1/2 Treble at - 6 - 1/2 Bass at - 6 - 1/2 A littel bit of Reverb! The guitar was opened up all the way via volume settings.
Stichfam
Holy shit that tone is out of this fucking world. Would you happen to remember what your settings were?

Hey, I love your playing.

Thanks, Someone said the smaller amp can be used with a mic for louder use, whatever that means?

I say the Princeton reverb is about one of the sweetest amps you can get. Sweet, Bright, Great Reverb, Tremelo, Plenty of volume for the room. The Deluxe is louder, not quite as sweet but good for small clubs and also is a very bright amp. Both have Great Reverb and Tremelo though. I like the Princeton the Best as far as sweet sound but the Deluxe is good for the gigs.

Didnt realize you had so many demos so i subscribed. Thinking of getting a new amp this year to replace my pc of crap solid state. I dont play in a band. Just mess around in my room. Fender deluxe reverb or princeton reverb for a hundred less? The deluxe looks more versitlie and somewhat louder. How do they compare in sound ect. ?
